Students measured the growth of their bean plants and recorded the growth on a chart in their science journals.
The bean plants that were placed in the cabinet under the sink and received no sunlight were very yellow and spindly. We discovered that the sunlight helps the plant produce chlorophyll which gives the plant its green color.
Students dissected flowers by taking off the petals, stamens, and carpel and placing them on clear tape. They placed their tape into their science journals and labeled all the pieces.
